• What is changing?

Baylor Scott & White Health Plan (BSWHP) will discontinue Individual & Family Marketplace plans after Dec. 31, 2026. We will do our best to make this change as easy as possible for our customers.

    Important:

    • Nothing changes today. Patients' coverage stays the same through the end of their coverage period.
    • Customer care is our top priority.
    • If patients have questions about their coverage, they may call their insurer at the number on the back of their insurance card.
  • When will this change happen?

Baylor Scott & White Health Plan will discontinue Individual & Family Marketplace plans after Dec. 31, 2026.

Nothing changes today. Patients' coverage stays the same through the end of their coverage period.

  • What do customers need to do?

Individual Marketplace patients should choose a new health plan during the Annual Open Enrollment period, which runs Nov. 1-Dec. 15, 2026.

  • Will patients stop getting my medications or treatments?

Our goal is to minimize disruption as best we can. Health plans have processes in place to help members continue prescriptions and ongoing treatment for certain conditions when they change plans. We recommend the following for patients:

    • Keep a list of your medications and providers
    • Ask your new health plan about your benefits, network, prescription coverage and transition policies
    • Schedule appointments as needed once your new coverage begins
  • How do patients know if their doctor will be covered by their new health plan?

We suggest patients check with their new health plan to make sure their doctor is in their network.

  • How and when can patients change their plan?

Individual & Family Marketplace plan members can change plans during the Annual Open Enrollment period, which runs Nov. 1-Dec. 15, 2026. To make a change, customers can log into the federal Health Insurance Marketplace at Healthcare.gov.

  • What if a patient has an appointment or procedure scheduled after Aug. 31, 2026?

Patients should check with their new health plan to make sure their doctor is in their network.

  • What if a customer has a medical emergency after their current coverage ends?

If they experience a medical emergency, patients should always visit the nearest emergency department.

  • Where can I go for help or more information?

If Individual Marketplace customers have questions about their coverage, they may contact Baylor Scott & White Health Plan's customer service at 855.572.7268.

If they have questions about where to find other coverage, they can review official enrollment resources provided by the Health Insurance Marketplace for Individual & Family plans. They may also benefit from talking with a broker.
